Ski Basics are a holiday company providing accommodation, food, equipment hire and other supporting services for skiing holidays. Ski Basics have 12 ski chalets in Meribel, France
Requirement
To increase efficiency in the booking and day-to-day management of skiing holidays
The problem; There are multiple stages in a complex booking process;
Bookings were recorded in spread sheets, Several individuals, based at different locations, were responsible for managing bookings.
The objective was to bring together all elements of a booking in a central place, accessible to all parties with up-to-date information.
Solution
An online booking system
Working with the Ski Basics directors, we developed an online booking system that allowed website visitors to make provisional bookings.
We created a secure online application that allowed Ski Basics administrators to manage bookings. The application had many features including reminders - informing customers and administrator's alike when key stages, such as payment milestones, were reached.
Customers were able to make credit card payments online - allowing multiple party members to pay a portion of the balance separately.
Impact
Administration time in managing bookings was greatly reduced. Ski Basics managers could review and update bookings from any location -From their site location in France, or their UK offices in south west England.
The application became a small scale CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool - sending and recording emails to customers and generating invoices when payments were received.
Later, further modules were added until the booking system became the Ski Basics business management software and the technical hub for delivery processes.
Ski Basics staff could then concentrate on what they are best at - delivering great service and memorable holidays!
